Polar Lights / Round 2 Model Kit Build Up with Extras
Description
Brand New Model Replica of the Starship Enterprise NCC-1701 Refit as seen in The Motion Picture
The following description is for a standard build.
This professionally assembled and lighted replica is built using the commercially available 1/350 scale model kit. It includes display base and power adapter and stereo speaker set. The model and display base are remote controlled.
The advanced lighting system features screen-correct blinking strobe lights, flashing navigation lights, special sequential shuttle bay landing lights and three basic modes, "Impulse" mode, "Warp" mode and "High Warp" mode. Other windows and features are lighted as well.
Modes: After turning on the lighting system, the model initially displays basic lighting including windows being lit. Then, as startup continues, the floodlights turn on sequentially, the navigation and strobe lights come on and the deflector dish lights up in a low-power mode. Next, when Impulse mode is activated, the impulse engines and impulse crystal illuminate to full power in an amber / orange color. Next, transitioning to Warp mode will change the deflector dish and impulse crystal to a blue color and the warp nacelles will light up in blue (the impulse engines turn off). Finally, in High Warp mode, the warp nacelles change from blue to violet.
Dry-dock light-up sequence: The kit lights up progressively as seen in the Motion Picture dry-dock scene.
Notes: Details and specifications of lighting system are subject to change, email us for the most up-to-date information.
Lighted features include extensive flood lighting or "beauty lighting" including lighted main registry and secondary registry and well as other lighted areas.
The Refit is know for its complex and beautiful paint scheme, especially its iridescent, pearlescent "aztec" panel appearance. We endeavor to make the paint scheme and details as accurate as possible, basing detail decisions on the appearance of = the Enterprise as it is seen leaving dry-dock in the Motion Picture (directors cut). The aztec paint pattern is accomplished over the course of hundreds of hours of labor.
The lighting system is accompanied by sound effect appropriate to each function and mode of the system. View the video to hear the sound programs.
Many additional brass Photo-etch parts are included in our builds. These are special metal parts for fine detailing that replace or supplement the plastic parts included in the kit.
Special Features include: Shuttle Bay with shuttle craft, Officer's lounge, Botanical Garden, Recreation Deck, Open Space Walk doors and Open bridge interior via a removable bridge dome. Some of these special features depend on the availability of supplementary 3D printed parts.
The two photon torpedo launch bays light up sequentially with the press of a button on the remote control. One phaser bank will be functional as the two turrets light up with bright effects. These photon torpedo and phaser functions are accompanied by sound effects. See video for a demonstration.
Model comes with a small self-powered stereo speaker set, a power adapters and remote controls. For the model lighting kit, a backup power adapter and backup remote control are included.
